Last week saw the inaugural Slalom competition, which unfortunately had a fairly lack luster turnout.
All being said the competition was fierce will all types turning out from all different levels. It is hoping that it will become a weekly event for seasonnaires and punters with different ability levels, just as long as we separate the intermediates from the experts (Harry!!!), you may slalom quickly but I believe an hour glass was required to time your pint downing session in LíEquipe!!!! As we donít intend to pick on one person, fat chef Andy needed one too, for both pint and Sambuca!!! The comp etition should restart again this Thursday at 1.30 at the Stade, tell your friends and punters to speak to Matt (White stuff) or Hoops (Ski Higher).
With my ear close to the ground and with an uncanny knack for probing chalet girls for gossip (and little else might I add!!!) we have seen Jim (Le Jump) spending plenty of time in his garden tending to one Daisy (Punter), I never knew gardening was so tiring!!!! Speaking of Le Jumpî another resident ìalcyî was spotted making his merry way to the Thompson hotel St Louis on a number of occasions, our brave little antipodean put his interest down to another notch in the bed post and another step closer to sleeping his way around all three Courchevel stations. As we move further away from the debauchery of the New Year it seams everything is beginning to calm down after the hectic 10-day transfer that we all had to endure. This illusion has been shattered into a million pieces last Tuesday evening, with the first theme night of the new millennium. A bygone era was brought to life, yes the decade that was the 70ís became real once more! Dodgy tashes, boob tubes (yes Jenny (Ski Val) we all saw it!!) and a plethora of shirts that would sour milk at 100 paces!!! I will mention no names, suffice it to say that Granddad should have kept them in mothballs instead of unleashing them on the unsuspecting Kalico!!! There are unconfirmed reports that Freddie Mercury was seen in Le Jump and LíEquipe but another source has reported he was seen in Frinton-upon-sea riding a tricycle, so we will hold the front page of the Sunday sport for that one!!!
One last comment to finish with, after being without the Enquirer for more than a week now and the same for Annie (ex-SDS) it can be safe to say that the free beer that was offered while you surf, has now been changed to a free beer after you surf.
Remember the truth is out there! But if you want to read the truth then buy a newspaper!!! Bono Esdente!!
