Emotional guidance

Probably due to the advancement of my years and my general air of authority many people ask me for advice throughout a season. Which is the this? How do you do that? I think it has something to do with me having 'tourist information' tattooed on my forehead.
Generally, thanks to the intoxicated state of the workers and the loud music on the opening night of Kalico, such an inquisition is less common. There was one exception as I was asked in the early hours of Sunday morning. Due to the nature of the question and the fact it was asked in confidence both parties will remain anonymous so as not to cause ones blushes and the others ego to inflate. To get to the point here is a quick prÈcis of the conversation. 'I really fancy someone but I think he's out of my league'.
My answer was to go for it. Without being so clichÈd as spouting Latin prose 'Carpe Diem' I want the emphasis on making the most of current opportunities because life is short and time is fleeting. Perhaps while in this classical vein I should say 'Memento mori' which would be more suitable. Now I'm not saying this so as to get everyone bed hopping from staff accommodation to staff accommodation although you could see how my writing would benefit. I just don't want to think 'What if?'. If that someone special does says NO then move on, at least you know. No one is 'out of your league', thanks to patented Mutzig beer goggles enough people have woken up with someone who isn't their 'type'.
