Richard, Supertravels very own silver fox and magnet to every skidding & sliding car in Courchevel.
It all started on the roundabout outside the Jump bar. Richard was delivering wine in the Supertravel van when he came across 3 cars, wheels locked and sliding out of control.
It is well known that whatever type of rubber your car is wearing, whether it be snow tyres, studded or clad in chains that if the wheels are locked then you are not in control of the vehicle. After avoiding two of the cars the Supertravel van made minor contact with the third, a Scott Dunn Ski Land Rover. The defender clipped the rear corner before going on to make a more full contact with a French driven renault. In a straight fight between a heavyweight defender and a lightweight renault, they will be scrapping the remains of the renault of the mat in the first round.
After the exchange of insurance documents the Supertravel van duly continued on its way.
Later than evening, after parking by the side of the road at the top of the Rue des Chenus the van had a second and more ultimate contact, this time with a Brazilian driven Range Rover. The out of control Rover ploughed into the back of van causing it to career fifty metres down the road.
The moral of the story is If your going to play alpine dodgems then you should drive a Land Rover.
But on the brighter side all the wine was safely delivered, with not one broken bottle.
