Checkpoint 3 If the thought of a checkpoint at the rond point in Meribel was a temporary respite the teams were sorely disappointed. With the alpine sirens of Nic, Jules and Rachel at the helm it wasn't long before the girls were up to their necks in powder with their ankles being held by a team-mate wheelbarrow style and an orange tucked under their chin. Add into the mix a bottle of Tabasco laced tequila and you have recipe for carnage..
Checkpoint 4 and finish The last checkpoint was based outside the panoramic restaurant requiring a refreshing uphill walk from the top of the Meribel bubbles. From the rate of their assent it was clear they were well and truly popped. Every team produced the required team photo with a ski instructor with some being more creative than others. After a quick Chartreuse layback it was only a quick ski down to the
Kalico and with a still healthy 10 minute gap it was another crushing victory for
Ski Higher. So with 2 trophies each I guess it down to the decider next yearÃ.
Other credit for best outfits equally go to Randolf Hilton and the Alcoholics and the One piece collection (
Supertravel). Both teams got to share (by which I mean Charlotte pounced before the other team could even get near) a bottle of toffee vodka and selection of outfits donated from the Kailco's current collection. Finally thanks for everyone who gave their time on the day including Mik and Benny(
Skival), Chris(bum), Nic(Jump), Jules, Rachel and Marc. Without them this event wouldn't be possible.
