Most people who know me know that my general work pattern is best describe as ìcasualî requiring neither an early start nor a daily commute.
After a week of, what can only be describe as, hard work I am only now just getting the feeling back into the soles of my feet. From setting up the stand in the days before the show to working 14 hour days through the week and finally taking it down afterwards I can truly say IÃm knackered. If unloading the stock from the lorry every morning doesnÃt get you then getting the panels up to lock the site at the end of the day will. And if the physical stuff isnÃt enough then being asked the same inane questions about goggles for 5 days will definitely push you over the edge. Personally, because IÃm an old fart, I donÃt know how after a 12 hour day people have the energy to go to the
Natives party and still be in the next morning.
So with all this exertion and trauma why do I do this every year? I guess the simple answer is the whole Snow and Rock crew are such a friendly place to work for. On that final note I will put my feet up, pop a few flu pills and get ready for another strenuous winter season.
