For many years the bar of choice in
Courchevel 1650 was the Signal bar. The bar that introduced Mutzig old strong lager to many (once) innocent seasonnaires. Until a few years ago, when it was refurbished as part of the new Hotel Sienza. Now it caters for their hotel guests more than impoverished workers.
The new Schuss bar looks like to take over itÃs crown. Only finished this summer, situated next door, below
Ski TotalÃs Chalet hotel Cascades the bar has the right balance between alpine barn (reclaimed timber beams) and light friendly reasonably priced bar. With a large screen tv and wifi access it caters for both drinkers and surfers.
At the other end of town another bar has lost itÃs spark. After a season successfully run by Aussie the bar formerly known as the New Space bar / Moriond Lounge it will be under new management (and may or may not be a bar) this year and will definitely not be the same.
