Skiworld win 1 valley rally

As a general rule the One Valley rally is rated as the 'lite' version compared to its bigger 3 valley brother and turn out usually reflects that. Considering it was, in the words of Lou Read, such a perfect day it was a shame that I could have spent it with more of you. Last year's turnout of 10 teams was brought to an all time low of 4 teams. Yes, only 16 people could be bothered to get up on Wednesday morning and take part. Considering I managed to host the event while still suffering from the flu, other people's excuses of hangovers etc pale in comparison.
The four teams were the Auberge Chefs, Jen's Mono and me, SJ's pile of pants and team toilet. So in a straight fight 2 Skiworld teams against 2 Supertravel teams. As they arrived at the first check point, just below the Charnrossa chair they were met by Chris(Scott Dunn),Saul(TJ's) and Dave(isba) with a bottle of tequila marinated overnight with peri peri chillies. After picking up the next clue, it was off to see Alex & Nicki(Skiworld) at the ski lodge in La Tania where two of the team members had to swap clothes. Unfortunately by now team toilet were in their namesake after having to drink half of the bottle of the chilli tequila. Finally it was a quick run to the new Tovet chair in 1550 where a shot of Marc de Savoie, an interesting little locally produced 45% tipple which is commonly mistaken for petrol, both when drunk and when exposed to a naked flame, waited for them. Finally in a mad dash back to Gringos, Jenís Skiworld team pipped Supertravel.
I am sure that when it comes to the 23rd March we can match the 20+ teams, which were made up from nearly every ski company in resort, that made it for the 3 Valley rally last year. Up for grabs are some great prizes and, for the first time, the 3VR trophy.
