Checkpoint 3
As I waiting at the top of the Roc de Tougne above Motteret I pondered what it would take to stop Jimbo's absolute dominance of this race. Little did I know that while Jen's
Ski Higher team were flying down to Motteret, Jimbo was stuck in the mud in Les Menuire. The track from Val T turned from snow white to mud brown. As they removed their skis and walked to the nearest lift it was clear it was all starting to go very wrong. As the first team appeared from the drag lift it was
Ski Higher had re-gained the lead. After a mouthful of Chartreuse they had to make their way through knee deep powder, up the hill and then, in the most enthusiastically way, roll back down again. As they put on their skis and headed to the last checkpoint the first member of Jimbo's team finally arrived, now 5 minutes behind.
The best of the rest included the Y-fronts who, despite wearing little more than a layer of thermals, threw themselves down the rolling hill with gusto.
Paddy almost broke his nose when he fell face first off the bottom of the course.
Checkpoint 4 & finish
The last checkpoint was based at the top of the Col de la Loze where Rupert, Max & Doug set out a virtualy depraved obstacle course. Such tasks as giving a Genepi blowjob, pulling down your trousers and doing a circuit of the area, kissing a liftie, hugging a one-piece wearing punter and finally flashing the chair lift.
But none of these were enough to slow down the leaders who retained their gap and romped home. As JimboÃs team entered the square outside LÃequipe the smug air of victory was already radiating from the
Ski Higher team.
Other credit for best outfits equally go to Scoobies (
Inghams) & Y- Fronts (L'Equipe).
Finally thanks for everyone who gave their time on the day, without you events like this wouldnÃt be possible.
