As you can see my the above photos Back to School night was a roaring success, although by the end of the night things started to get a bit crazy in the Kalico.
A topic for this week is the Derby. No not the one with the horses held at Epsom.
Iím talking about the Derby du Roc Merlet. An open downhill race over in Courchevel 1650. Following my previous remarks on the subject i.e. Conspiracy theory about holding the event on a Friday instead of a Wednesday so that Darren couldnít tale part. The event is now being held on a Wednesday 1st March. I would like to think that this is down to pressure from my fine gossip sheet but the truth is nearer to a misprint on the ESFís calendar. If you want to take part all you need is 60FF, a helmet, proof of your insurance and a trip to the ESFís office in 1650. But hurry the race is limited to the number that can take part so the sooner you register the better.
Speaking from experience after competing for the last two years there is nothing worse than listening to people whinge on after the race about how they wished they had done that. ìEither put up or shut up!î
