One Final note from the editor

As it's the last issue of the enquirer it's time to compare the season to some deep and meaningful reference.
Last year there was a excellent translation of The Eagles' song 'Hotel California'. This year we use Lewis Carroll's 'The Walrus and the Carpenter' as inspiration. Primarily because the headline is a great quote and, more importantly, apart from knowing a piece of peotry because I AM the walrus. Not in the large blubbery sea creature sense although after seeing my stomach on beach night I can understand the comparison. Instead in the large physical, gamesha sense of things. The seasonnaires are the carpenter and the punters are the oysters!
Alternatively it is perceived as a 'warning' that there are mean, manipulative authority figures (ski companies, chalet owners, newsletter writers) out there that are not quite what they appear to be.
Of course many believe the poem is sheer nonsensical writing. So after 19 issues of the enquirer you must be used to it now.
