Courchevel sold to Russia - Courchevel Enquirer
In a leaked memo from the Marie's office it has come to light that a consortium of Russian Oligarchs have purchased the ski resort of Courchevel for an undisclosed amount. After closer inspection of the document what was initially thought to be the international phone number of the consortium but turned out to be the down payment.
Current property owners will not be immediately affected although certain changes will be made around the resort.
The tax d'habitation is to be replaced by something call tax d'protection or a protection charge. Interest charges for late payment will be replaced by what is better known as 'two large guys with baseball bats'.
In an attempt to solve the chronic car parking problem in 1850 there will be a limit on the number vehicles aloud up the mountain. Exceptions will be made for large American 4x4's with blacked out windows and foreign licence plates..
