An Introduction to transfer day

As this is the first transfer day for most of you here is a very brief summary of whats involved.
Get up at crack of dawn ** (should read Get up several hours before crack of dawn'!) Do breakfast
Turf out guests
Clean
Clean
Clean
Clean
Be told the coach is arriving early
Clean FAST
Have cake ready for them
Be VERY charming
If Esprit - feed kids and be nice to them (Parents love it if their children love you - its a winner every time - trust me!)
Do dinner
Go to the pub
And here are a few other transfer-day truths
It will dump 2 feet of fresh powder the night before and you will spend the day looking out the window at this forbidden fruit.
The guests will either be early or late.
Throwing your schedule into disarray.
They will start to complain as soon as they walk through the door (or if you're the rep they will start to complain as soon as they pass through customs).
You wait all day for the Enquirer to be delivered and after it does a great wave of disappointment follows.
