Toga night travesty - Courchevel Enquirer
Last Tuesday saw what was meant to be Toga night. In actuality it was 'can't be bothered to put on a sheet because it was raining/ I couldn't be bothered' night.
For the select few who did don their bed linen. After parading myself across town to TJ's only to find the entirety of Ski World (with the exception of Graham) lounging by the fire with not even a pillow case between them At the bar their where more ISBA punters posing in their sheets than Ski Val Staff.
Had it not been for some Inghams reps and a few Scott Dunn staff the bar staff would have been the only ones dressing up. It wasn't until the arrival of the Supertravel 'Old school' (By which I refer to their seasons worked and not their age) Margie, Nick, Captain and Simon did the Toga Tour of Courchevel really get going. After a quick pint at TJ's the journey to the Jump was accompanied by authentic roman quotes (ok some quotes from The life of Brian). But as usual the Jump was rammed so after one shot of sambuca later we left Fred, the Scott Dunn Arab to find his 'camels' and went in search of equally juiced up sheet wearers at Gringos. After striking out again at Gringos and having Ollie throwing the remains of my drink on me we went down the road to the Blue bar only to be equally abused by Allan as he attempted to close up.
That only leaves me to say that Supertravel(Old School) are the final survivors of the Weakest Link competition. A suitable prize will be found and presented to the lucky people.
Toga night photos are available inTJís, Blue Bar and Gringos.
