With almost the same enthusiasm of the opening day of winter in Courchevel, the day Tignes opens its glacier for the summer is no less awesome. Skiing in the summer is such a unique experience. Early starts if you happen to be staying in resort or very early starts if you are coming from the another resort and closing around 12.30. Going from green pastures to pristine white slopes in a matter of minutes thanks to the funicular.
Yesterday we did just such a thing and after a bumper winter season the snow was the best Iâve ever seen. I would whole-heartedly recommend it.
